Moro: A Political Maverick, Making Wave: Comrade Oche Alechenu
Published: Judith Agada, Abuja
There is this trajectory that surrounds human psychology, where at the point of realistic occurrences, people tend to wallow in self denial. They could remain in that dissonance state for so long as they chose until they snap back to reality. This is just the exact thing that stung most people in Idoma land, Benue South Senatorial District like bees when the choice of Comrade Abba Patrick Moro PhD. filtered into the public air in 2019 Senatorial race.
It took many unaware and relapsed into shock, and self denial, whereas for many it was the dawn of a new era to chat a fresh path for a continuum in energetic and expertise leadership of the Zone. It signalled moments of relief and hope for more assured future both for the young and the old.

Here to me, it was something of paradigm shift in the control of the political space especially as governance requires energy, experience and mental alacrity to dispense with plethora of development challenges. Infact, the journey as a whole, it is not for the uninitiated and lily livered...
Hence, the more the nay sayers releases the bile of bad blood, the more they are frustrated by the overwhelming majority of supporters who consistently and continuously endorse the personality and the good job of the Comrade Senator Abba Patrick Moro PhD. Without mincing words, Moro is being directed to something better as Idomas continue to inches under his captainship towards more modest and prosperous Zone.
On a general note, it is nolonger a news that many Nigerians have lost hope in the nation’s legislation that is simply because many of the the leaders and representatives have failed in the discharge of their duties.
However, it has never been in doubt that trust can be restored when the people enjoy the much-needed dividends of good and pure representation. Leaders who know their duties and have their people at heart and are ready to work for the benefit of their people leave their names in the memory of the people for generation.
One can not but categorically point out one leader who has displayed the courage to pull the bull by the horn and do the needful in order to bring his communities to a place where hopes are not only rekindled but where dreams are turned into reality is Senator Abba Moro.

Senator Moro, the all seasons Leader has come out with bold step and a mission of dynamic change for the Benue South Senatorial District. No doubt, in every local government of Benue South Senatorial District, there is a project of the distinguished Senator which has been completed and commissioned, done and waiting for commissioning or are ongoing as the case maybe.
It is worthy of note that, the Benue Southern people has never felt the physical impact of a leader both in the executive arms of government and others like that of Comrade Moro. As his culture is, Moro has never missed a week without visiting his people since his assumption of office as Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The former Minister of Interior is fueled by his passion to use politics as a viable tool for societal re-engineering.
As many has agreed and termed with me, the Comrade Senator who currently occupied the position of the Nigeria's Senate Minority Leader, from inception believes that the time has come to herald policies and initiatives with a direct impact on the welfare of the people. He is of the firm belief that there is much that could be achieved in the Senate through proper legislation, adequate leadership and representation that will ultimately bring governance closer to the grassroots.
The first term Moro has served his people and this present assembly in the red chamber, the very energetic Senator has proven that he is really prepared for the purpose that he was elected by his people. Moro is not a noise maker but pragmatic leader who has influenced the lives of youths, women and the elderly both within and outside of his immediate circle.
He has also demonstrated his selflessness and empathy, a very rare virtue among many politicians of his generation. Not a few Nigerians were awestruck recently when he wrote and advised the Benue State government to stop disengaging the Civil Servants of the State and those who were elected or appointed with due processes of the system in one position or the other as future stand before everyone for judgement if not here on earth then before the Father, Almighty. This act is further proof of his affection and humanness.
With Senator Abba Moro... Nothing about self, just the People!
